Honoring Katherine G Johnson NASA Physicist Mathematician

Katherine G. Johnson, a physicist, and a mathematician who started high school when she was 10 years old, and college when she was 15, she died in 2020 at the age of 102.

I want to honor this human-computer genius because of what she represents to me: intelligence, character, courage, strength, love for science, life, for freedom. I just love one of her quotes: “I didn’t feel any segregation. I knew it was there, but I didn’t feel it.” Oh, I forgot to tell you: she is an American woman who was considered a “colored computer” when she worked for NASA back in the fifties (color, gender, race, country patriotism are not that important to me. Intelligence is)

I mention one of her many quotes because that happens to me all the time. While people talk about being discriminated against because they are short, fat, thin, black, brown, white, yellow, tall, thin, whatever ( I am sure I fit in many of these “colorful” name-callings), I just care about going on, about to continue with my interests in life: I am focussed. And that is what she was: a focussed-stubborn very smart woman who didn’t waste her time on menial things. She dedicated her mind to science. Political and social hate was put to the side, off the path she walked.

It is an honor for me to walk this earth Mrs. Katherine Johnson walks. It is a privilege for me to live on this earth at the same time Mrs. Johnson lives. 100 years old and she breathes the same air I do. How lucky I am! I send her my most utter respect and admiration for her work in science and exemplary life as a human being.

Future of Healthcare Digitization and Digitalization in Medicine and Healthcare for Diagnostics

AR (Augmented Reality) is the future of computing, truly. It transcends traditional computing with 2D monitors, mice, and keyboards – and takes us into spatial computing, with 3D holograms and more natural interactions. It’s a whole new way of interacting with digital content in the context of the real world.

Although there are several forms of AR such as mobile and smart glasses, the most advanced and powerful is immersive AR, which is defined as photorealistic, high-resolution, life-size holograms wrapped in a natural interaction paradigm using direct hand manipulation and voice commands. Immersive AR has immense potential to change how we communicate, collaborate, and create… enhancing our human interaction in the process.

Healthcare is one of the primary verticals in AR with the most to gain. In healthcare education, medical schools are starting to train a new generation of healthcare professionals using interactive 3D anatomical models – reducing the need for cadavers and significantly improving training and comprehension.

With immersive 3D medical imaging, AR can assist with everything from diagnosis, to patient communication, to collaborative pre-operative planning, to the surgery itself, where 3D MRI/CT scan is overlaid onto the patient. The benefits of 3D medical imaging go well beyond providing high financial value – they represent the future of caregiving.

Sharing Options from WordPress.com to Facebook Are Changing

We wanted to update you about an upcoming change Facebook is introducing to their platform, and which affects how you may share posts from your WordPress.com website to your Facebook account.

Starting August 1, 2018, third-party tools can no longer share posts automatically to Facebook Profiles. This includes Publicize, the tool for WordPress.com and Jetpack-powered sites that connects your site to major social media platforms (like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook).

facebook-share

Will this affect your ability to share content on Facebook? It depends. If you’ve connected a Facebook Profile to your site, then yes: Publicize will no longer be able to share your posts to Facebook. On the other hand, nothing will change if you keep a Facebook Page connected to your site — all your content should still appear directly on Facebook via Publicize. (Not sure what the difference is between a Page and a Profile? Here’s Facebook’s explanation.)

If you’ve previously connected a Facebook Profile to your WordPress.com site and still want your Facebook followers to see your posts, you have two options. First, you could go the manual route: once you publish a new post, copy its URL and share the link in a new Facebook post. (You can also share right from the WordPress mobile apps after a scheduled post goes live.)

The other option is to convert your Facebook Profile to a Page. This might not be the right solution for everyone, but it’s something to consider if your website focuses on your business, organization, or brand.

While Facebook is introducing this change to improve their platform and prevent the misuse of personal profiles, we know that this might cause a disruption in the way you and your Facebook followers interact. If you’d like to share your concerns with Facebook, head to their Help Community.

In the meantime, WordPress.com’s Publicize feature (and social media scheduling tools) will continue to be available to you for posting to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.

Detecting Hidden Blood Stains in Crime Scenes like in NYPD BLue show or Real Life Interesting Fact

All these years watching several TV cop shows, like, NYPD Blue and Law and Order, seeing them grab this fluorescent blue light lamp on a crime scene to show blood stains, well, I just found out this is not true nor accurate in real life crime investigations. It was invented for our amusement only!

It is interesting to learn this fact from a reliable source,  a Criminal Justice Forensic agent retired now: Don Penven

If you watch many of the TV “Cop” shows, you will see at some point those working a crime scene using a blue light in search of invisible blood (blood stains that were cleaned up). Shazam! Blue-white stains appear all over the floors, walls and objects sitting around the crime scene! But in reality—this cannot happen. You see, blood does not fluoresce by applying UV or visible blue light.

Blood, even minute quantities that remain after clean-up, can be made to “luminesce;” that is, by spraying certain chemicals such as Luminol, BlueStar or Fluorescene on the various surfaces, blood will luminesce, or simply “glow in the dark”—and adding blue light is not necessary. So what can alternate light sources reveal? Although blood does not fluoresce, certain other physiological fluids will. UV alternate light sources can reveal the following: seminal fluid, saliva and urine stains. Also, certain narcotics will fluoresce as will bone and teeth fragments.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence Movie Week How Many Stars do you give?

Jennifer Lawrence famous movie career practically started in 2010, but it´s not until 2016 when I noticed her with the movie Passengers.  A science fiction flick that I find fascinating: the acting and the plot. I would love to be  in that vessel to travel to another planet and reach my destination, thank you very much, not to be awaken from hibernation  by a selfish passenger just for company!

Anyways, the movie is very good, so I think. I like the way the writers ended it, it gives hope to souls who, like me, wish to evolve and live in another planet to start fresh, another world somewhere far from earth.

I give this movie 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, and you?

However, this guy completely disagrees with me. I find his review of this movie boring, vulgar and distorted.

Luxury Gifts Ideas for Father’s Day for all Kinds of Taste even for Metro-Sexual Dads Make him Smile!

MASSAGE RELAXATION SPA DAY

Dads don’t need much. Just a little gift to know that their work is appreciated. BUT if you really wanted to, he probably wouldn’t mind if you took the time to look around to get him something more suitable to his likings:

  1. Is he a geeky dad?
  2. Is he the executive type?
  3. Does he love sports, and what kind?
  4. Is he metro-sexual and super-neat?
  5. Does he like traveling?
  6. Does he like music, plays a certain musical instrument?
  7. Maybe your dad is the scientific one?

ALL IN ONE CHARGING STATION

Think of all the things Dad did for you: Life lessons, guidance, and unconditional love. Maybe your dad would love an expensive drone that will show up all the other dads at the park. Or a super-slick TV that doesn’t look like all the others.

DRONE

A great idea would be to give him a gift card for him to spend in a relaxing environment like a spa, so he can get a massage with herbs and lotions, facial masks, a haircut, sauna, and then go with him and the whole family to a fancy restaurant for dinner.

Send your dad to the country or place he has always dreamed of visiting and he has never been able to go for one reason or another. You can find out when he has time off and which are his plans. I assure you, he will be very happy.
