Friday Science: Dominant or Recessive Body Traits

Do you have a dominant eye color or is your eye color recessive?  All of the traits that you have are either dominant or they are recessive. Dominant means that the trait will always show up no matter what.  Recessive genes cannot show with a dominant gene present.

Recessive means that the trait will only show if there is no dominant gene there. If your hair is blonde then your trait for hair is recessive. You would have no genes for dark hair. Since you have two genes for every trait you have, one from your father and one from your mother, you would have gotten two genes for light hair if you were a blonde. You could not have been blonde if you had one gene for dark hair and one for light hair. This is because dark is dominant.

Exotic Lush Eye Make Up Ideas

People call eyes the windows to the soul. But what exactly do we see when we gaze into the eyes of another person? In fact, the eyes do provide lots of information about another person’s emotional state.

If the eyes are the windows of our souls, why not make them more beautiful using a special and exotic eye make up? Links to sites  where they teach you how to follow instructions for make up, are at the bottom of the post.

IMPASSIONED COLORED EYE

If the eye is the window into the soul, the pupil is—quite literally—an opening into the eye. The pupil acts like the aperture on a camera, dilating or contracting to regulate the amount of light coming into the eye. We all know that our pupils get smaller in the light and bigger in the dark. This is the pupillary light response.

ROMANTIC COLORED EYE

In an article published in a recent issue of Current Directions in Psychological Science, psychologists Sebastiaan Mathôt and Stefan Van der Stigchel argue that there’s a lot more to the pupillary light response than, well, meets the eye. They claim that the size of the pupils tells us a lot about the emotions and intentions of their owners.
