Begonia fulgurata, a new species discovered in northern Thailand. Begonia fulgurata resembles B. integrifolia, a widespread species in Southeast Asia, in having tubers, erect stem with hairy leaves, and a periodically dormant habit.
However, the new species is sharply distinct in its lamina densely hirsute (vs sparsely puberulous) and with maroon patches and silvery-white veins

I don’t think I would like to have this particular plant in my farm, especially because in summer I go out at night to the yard to detect larvas, caterpillars with an ultraviolet lamp, and seeing this scary flower would probably be a deterrent for me to keep on doing what I have being doing for years 🤣😁
