I used to go to Venice Beach in the 1990’s with family & friends to have fun, enjoy the food and buy trinkets. Now I wouldn’t go because of disease and danger. How can this be solved? So sad.

Worse is yet to come if tI think that hings are not solved soon. We can see homelessness camps all over San Diego too.
I think that a lot of people NEED to comfront realit, seriously.
WHEN do you see in MSM (Main Stream Media) report and show these problems? Never. They think they can sweep things under the rug.

What is the city government doing to alleviate this very sad
Humanity Issue. Are they doing anything. To provide help for these unfortunate souls. Since the pandemic many have lost jobs and homes. We need to be working on improving conditions for these men women and children.

It’s such a sad state of affairs. Both are true, fixing a broken system and having programs and also a desire to make it work. Many have mental health issues and the help went out in the Regan administration unfortunately. My brother who has mental health issues, has lived on the street, got staff and more recently was on the street when Covid started. He is now in a board and care. His wife and son are living on the street because they do not want to find affordable housing and give up and money they get from the state. You can’t have it both ways. It’s a pretty loaded subject that needs addressing no doubt. SOOOO SAD!!!!

Sad all around……and maybe the future of far too many cities!
It’s also happened big time in Seattle.
Bordered by beautiful mountain ranges and gleaming waters, Seattle was one of the most desirable spots to live in the United States. According to Seattle is Dying, a documentary produced by the local KOMO news outlet, the appeal of the city is giving way to rampant crime, homelessness and disgrace.
